The following two questions will be on the official ballot:

 

I. RESOLUTION TO EXCEED REVENUE CAP FOR THE 2010-11 SCHOOL YEAR BY AN AMOUNT OF $292,700

BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the School District of Washington, Door County, Wisconsin, that the final school district budget for the 2010-11 school year shall include, on a nonrecurring basis an amount of $292,700 in excess of the revenue limits imposed by Section 121.91(2m) of the Wisconsin Statutes for the purpose of paying the cost of district operating expenses. Question I. Shall the School Board of the School District of Washington be authorized to exceed the revenue limit under Section 121.91(2m) of the Wisconsin Statutes for the 2010-11 school year on a nonrecurring basis by an amount of $292,700 for the purpose of paying the cost of district operating expenses as provided in the foregoing resolution?

YES / NO

Note that "nonrecurring basis" means that this resolution is for one year only.

Note also that this resolution is "a budget neutral amount." The $292,700 includes $255,000 (the amount of this year's referndum) plus $37,700 (the stimulus money which was used in this years budget but not available next year).

 

 

II. RESOLUTION TO EXCEED REVENUE CAP BEGINNING WITH THE 2010-11 SCHOOL YEAR BY AN AMOUNT OF $20,000

BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the School District of Washington, Door County, Wisconsin, that the final school district budget beginning with the 2010-11 school year through the 2012-13 school year shall include, on a nonrecurring basis, an amount of $20,000 in excess of the revenue limits imposed by Section 121.91(2m) of the Wisconsin Statutes for the purpose of providing funds for technology. Question II. Shall the School Board of the School District of Washington be authorized to exceed the revenue limit under Section 121.91(2m) of the Wisconsin Statutes beginning with the 2010-11 school year through the 2012-13 school year on a nonrecurring basis by an amount of $20,000 for the purpose of providing funds for technology as provided in the foregoing resolution?

YES / NO

Note that "beginning with the 2010-11 school year throught the 2012-13 " means that this resolution is for $20,000 each year for three years.
